Who am I? Natural sight vs faith. Am I just another number, invisible, insignificant, faceless in the crowd? Do I matter?
Who am I? You are a child of God!
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous–how well I know it(Psalm 139:14).
Then he said to me, “This [continuous supply of oil] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel [prince of Judah], saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of whom the oil is a symbol],’ says the Lord of hosts. (Zechariah 4:6)
Therefore we are always confident, although we know that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord. We walk by faith not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
Who am I? You are a child of the living God. You are not what natural sight says you are. Natural sight insists on doing life in our own strength according to what we believe is real. We respond to circumstances with an idea that we can solve our problems and make our own decisions according to what is right. The devil is the author and finisher of “natural sight.” The devil is in control creating chaos when we live apart from our Lord and Savior. The world wants us to omit the fact that the nature of God is the nature of faith in the impossible showing up in our everyday lives according to the perfect will of God. Hearts become hardened when we are the god of self even when we are good people doing moral and grand things. However, in all our efforts to do the right thing and to be good people, if we are not allowing God to lead us into the promise of our true purpose, what good is it? This is futility. Who am I? You are not the product of futility any more. Ask this instead: “Jesus, who am I in you?” He will always answer the question in the situation in which you need wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge in the spirit of the Lord and with the awe of the Lord.
Isaiah 11
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—
3 and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.
The Spirit of the Lord through Jesus is bestowed on us at the moment of our conception into a reborn nature–When we allow the Holy Spirit to lead as in Jesus is King, we allow all the aspects of the Spirit to operate in our lives. Following the nature of God in our sojourn here on earth, means resting in the fact that Jesus paid the price for meeting us where we are in everything. When do we need the Spirit of the Lord? We need His Spirit every moment of everyday. When do we need wisdom and understanding? We need wisdom and understanding when we are making life choices and in dealing with others. When do we need counsel and might? We need council, to do the will of the Father in all things and the might and power to carry out His will. When do we need knowledge and what about the fear of the Lord? We need knowledge as in heavenly “word of knowledge” from the Holy Spirit and the anointed of God in prophecy. This means He will hear our questions, but first we need to ask. “Jesus how do you see this? Jesus, what revelation do You wish to show me in this? Jesus, how do we proceed?” Jesus, help me, will You show me the strategy for this?” We need Him in ALL our dealing in this life–especially in all our relationships with the saved or unsaved. The essence of salvation is submitting to Him in All things. Who am I? You are a redeemed new creature of the Living God not of this world although you remain. And above all, the Holy Spirit is living inside with all the answers, guidance, goodness, faith, love, joy , peace, patience, faithfulness, goodness, self-control, and long-suffering gifted to us at any given moment. Who am I? I am a child of God and He keeps His promises.
The White Garment of Faith
Who am I? I wear the white garment of righteousness; To wear the white garment of righteousness as in Isaiah 61:10 is to wear the garment of faith: I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
The white garment of righteousness is our clothing in the blood of Jesus Christ. His blood allows us a walk of faith into the unseen. When we have eyes of faith and dependency on the God who created the universe, we are in awe of how He manifests and comes into our circumstances bringing life, liberty, abundance, blessing, honor, healing, provision, revelation, power, authority, resolve, acceptance and all the legitimate blessings of life found in the Tree of Life—we have access to draw upon our birthright in an inheritance from the Throne Room of God. We live our lives from His Throne Room as we have a personal and intimate relationship with the God of all, in all, through all in. Although we are in this world we are resurrected with Christ into a new and resurrected life from the grave of futility, self-seeking in our own strength. Abundant life is served on a silver platter–ask anything in My Name and I will give it to you. “Jesus, show me your provision in this matter. Jesus, lead me through this valley by showing me how You see it.”
We no longer have to do this thing called life on our own according to the world system. This garment is white and will not fade or wear out for all eternity. The garment of righteousness is the garment of a reconciled relationship with God; this happened with the full measure of what Jesus did on the cross for us. Jesus took all the black decay the garment of futility on Himself so we could be eternally clean, bright, white in love. We died with Him and are resurrected with Him. This is real. We now live in the Covenant of Love that is all about living what is LIFE. Who am I? You are alive with Christ in heavenly places although yet here on earth. You wear the White Garment of a right relationship with God. You see with the eyes of faith. This means the New Life replaced the old once and for all. The New Life supersedes the old way of living in the futility and nothingness of how most people do life.
Faith
Jesus has given us a measure of faith for our lives while He refines and transforms our soul. Transformation brings about more faith which increases inner sight. Even and especially when we are dealing with the unredeemed circumstances in our lives, we witness the manifestations from the realms of the Spirit in our lives—seeing, perceiving the way. What this means is the gift of Jesus allows us to live in heavenly realms. There is no negativity in heaven. Guess what! Jesus paid the price for us to live in Him with a new mindset. Jesus is the better covenant of every freedom, blessing, provision, healing, wisdom, guidance, insight, resolve, and above all Love. Each time we see God move in our lives we experience the awe of Heaven. We have a face-to-face opportunity to see the AWE of the manifest presence of God in our lives. In the midst of upheaval and turmoil because of the unredeemed earth, The Holy Spirit teaches us how to live by faith. This brings His supernatural Kingdom into every moment of every day if we invite Him to do His will in our lives. The good news is, although we live in a fallen world, the negativity and futility of is does not need to land on us. Jesus will give us the power and authority to overcome the fallen world, especially in our old way of living.
Jesus has a promise. He sent the Holy Spirit, the lover of our soul to dwell within us to comfort us in this life, to lead us to higher ground even when the world seems crashing in all around us. We learn the higher law of love in our relationship with Jesus, the Word, and our believing community. Our old way of living is just a habit to break and allow the Lord to overpower with His nature, ways, and authority. This means whatever life throws at us, Jesus already overcame it. Relationship with the King brings out God’s purpose. The issues is not the issue rather an opportunity to be like Jesus in the matter. We cannot be like Jesus alone–reading the Word by the Spirit teaches us how to hear “rhema Word.” This is the message of life in every circumstance; this is when God moves into our situation to bring resolve and radical acceptance. This is when we hear the Will of God in our heart to the point of knowing what to do. This is when God “makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him.”
The Blood of/ in / through Jesus
Who am I? I am bought by the blood of Jesus and am submerged in His blood forever. We are submerged in Jesus the moment we depart from eating at the Tree of Knowledge and futility and sup with the Lord at the Tree of Life at the foot of the cross. We live by faith not by sight; we no longer submit to the grave clothes of self and self-seeking. We are submerged in the blood of Jesus to wear a new garment of salvation: Jesus. I have come to believe that my sin was a result of not receiving Jesus into my circumstances to be in them with me. His blood gifted me with favor and the capacity to navigate this life differently; in the new man, putting off the old, putting on the new is a choice and Jesus is right there ready to yoke Himself to moving into the light of The Way, The Truth and The Life. Now, ask, “Jesus where is the light in this, where is the way, the truth, and the life? Jesus, calm my spirit and steady my mind so I can hear you clearly.”
We are now under the covering, the shadow of His wings, transforming us from glory to glory into the image of Jesus. We are becoming the original design blueprinted at the foundation of the world in who He created us to be. As a child of God, we have access through Him to enter the Shalom–” the optimum condition for life to unfold” to joyfully embrace this amazing journey called Life! Who am I? I am my original self now a bond-servant to the Living God on earth. What this means is that even and especially in the midst of this fallen world, Jesus is the savior of the world who makes all things new because we are no longer subject to futility and the curses of the fall. Jesus transforms our lives so that the full purpose of our existence manifests in the abundant life God plans for us from the foundation of the world! There is His abundance in trial and tribulation, in joy and in peace. We no longer have to do this thing called life on our own. We now live in the Covenant of Love that is all about living what is LIFE in faith. Who am I? I am a child of God. I am saved.
