New Covenant Life

New Covenant Life is Victory

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.” ) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

New Covenant Life is Connection

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord—Romans 8

New Covenant Life is the Good News

Ask a God you can’t see to give you eyes to see all the things God has planned for you from the foundation of the world to bring you into the brilliance of the LIGHT of perpetually revealing everything you are to know, learn, experience, and do for eternity starting right here and now. This is the good news. The New Covenant is the covenant of light and love. It is a covenant of grace and Jesus Christ is the light who wishes to inhabit your life with liberty and love.

Really, since you can’t see tomorrow anyway or you may even be dead in the morning for all you know, what do you have to lose in just simply asking? Does just asking a question mean you have signed your name in blood to something? The fact is, Jesus Christ has signed His blood to something. And that something is the New Covenant of grace and love. When God reveals Himself to you, that is when you will realize that up until now, you were dead.  You were dead to futility and empty, essentially alone.

New Covenant Life is Belonging

God wishes to wrap His arms around you and tell you a secret. A secret you have longed to hear, know, and feel from the depths of you’re being. A secret that was meant to fill you all along. Rather than all the things that keep you searching, choose to receive all God wishes to say to you all the way to the center of your heart and soul: ” I love you my precious son/daughter and you are not a mistake. I will never leave you nor forsake you–you are MINE. You belong to Me since I formed you in your mothers womb and made you who you are just the way you are today. No one on Earth or throughout all the ages is like you my beloved. Come let me hold you close and heal you. Let the tears I have gathered from your cheek become the oil of gladness, let me restore the years of broken dreams and promises. I have called you to a meaningful purpose and a divine plan. You are my special treasure, my child, my bride for all eternity.”

New Covenant Life is a Kingdom

You will never ever be the same because God is going to FILL all the empty spaces caused by hurt, pain, abuse, and loss with His healing balm of love, joy, and peace; the healing balm of His Presence guiding and comforting you every step of the way on a path He designed for you from the foundation of the world. This is the moment you will finally cry, “Abba Father,” and enter the New Covenant in the Promised Land of Grace. This is when you “cross over” from darkness into Light because our Father parts the seas between futility and life for each one of us. This is when you will be equipped to embrace this life in any and all circumstances. Yes, we are going to mess up occasionally because human beings mess up all the time. But remember God is the only one signing your report card and He just pushed delete. And what’s more He does not remember. Every single day is a new beginning in the Promised Land of Grace.

New Covenant Life is A Promise

Jehovah-Tsidkenu – Lord our Righteousness

God originally intended a large segment of beautiful property to belong to Abraham and his descendants.  The fact is—we are Abraham’s descendants. The original covenant between God and Abraham is a type and shadow of the beautiful new life we have in Jesus Christ who IS the new covenant. The Lord counted Abraham righteous because of his faith in God–righteousness means “right standing with God.”

God called Moses to lead His people to the Promised Land and parted the Red Sea to this end. Through the new covenant of Jesus Christ we “cross over” to the Promised Land—the purposeful life we are created to live. God created us to be directed by the Light of His Spirit through any obstacle, trial, or tribulation AND remove the grave clothes of all the stuff that weighs us down. God desires to be reconciled to us by clearing a path of faith and hope that He will guide us on to the Promised Land. Following Jesus and His example and teachings, allows a life of resolve and radical acceptance in everything we do. Resolve is taking one step at a time embracing the day–we are not to worry about tomorrow. That means trusting God. Radical acceptance is trusting in God’s wisdom even when we don’t know all the answers, reasons, what for, and how comes about any given circumstance ESPECIALLY when it is “JUST WRONG.”

Hebrews 6

13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14 saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”[d] 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16 For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute. 17 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, 18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might[e] have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. 19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters thePresence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

The New Covenant Life is Hope

We are “the heirs of the promise.” God confirmed it by an oath in which it is impossible for Him to lie. When we have access to His Presence behind the veil, we have access to The Holy Of Holies which is the Throne of God. The New Covenant is a refuge of taking hold of the HOPE we have in living in Jesus Christ. Jesus cleared the way for us to enter the Holy of Holies through His blood just like God parted the waters of the Red Sea to free His people from the bondage of Egypt and lead them to the Promised Land.

Because God who is Jesus guides us to where we are supposed to be and equips us for what we are supposed to do

Resolve and radical acceptance is having faith in a living God and brings hope. Now faith is [the] substantiating of things hoped for, [the] conviction of things not seen. For in [the power of] this the elders have obtained testimony.  By faith, we apprehend that the worlds were framed by [the] word of God so that that which is seen should not take its origin from things which appear (Hebrews 11:1-3). The action word “substantiating” means to “give evidence or proof” to something or to “give body to.” In this case, the scriptures are saying that faith in God for what we hope for in the unseen world is a more excellent testimony. The scripture is also relating to the power of the Word of God–Jesus is the Word who “framed” the world or brought it into existence. So it is with faith–it brings the unseen into the seen according to the Will of God. Resolve and radical acceptance is believing that God knows what He is doing.

New Covenant Life is Eternal

When we choose to take the path in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we choose to surrender our stuff to Him. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the LIFE, holding us in His arms and carrying us on His back forever into a Kingdom Life in the Promised Land. “Jesus loves me this I know.” Not because the “Bible told me so” but because the Lord told me Himself. He told me that He loved me and that I am not a mistake by hanging on a cross on a hill. He tells me He loves me in every perfect sunrise and sunset to remind me of how beautiful His heart is for being willing to shed His precious blood; red like the dawn, crimson like the dusk upon the grey. Just to give me a glimpse of heaven so I can have hope for a better new day in an imperfect world.  We have one foot in Heaven through Jesus Christ because we are seated with Jesus at the right hand of God. We are created with our unique purpose in eternal kismet. This is our Promised Land. The path of eternal life is a path of transformation and abundant Life.
