Abiding in Him
I am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He trims so that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. The branch cannot itself produce fruit, unless it abides on the vine. Likewise, you cannot produce fruit unless you abide in Me.
5 I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from Me, you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and is dried up. Such branches are picked up and thrown into the fire and burned.
7 If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. 8 In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples.”
9 Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you. Abide in My love! 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. 11 These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and your joy may be full.
12 This is My commandment, that you love one another just as I have loved you. [a]13 No one has greater love than this: that he lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do what I command you.
15 I am no longer calling you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing. Now I have called you friends, because everything I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.
16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you. I selected you so that you would go and produce fruit, and your fruit would remain. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in My name.
17 These things I command you, so that you may love one another.
We are earthbound yet living in the Kingdom of Heaven because He is with us: The Lord is with us. Emmanuel is abiding with us forever. Angels are about our Father’s business fulfilling His divine plan for relationship. The Angels have the purpose of bringing what is already in heaven into this earthly realm according to our faith and God’s will. The angels ascend from earth in response to our prayers, in response to God’s plan for us, and in assignments for protection and more. The heavens are open with our worship in the Body of Christ as many see angels. Angels are helpers and bless what God is doing in our lives according to our purpose and calling.
He keeps us in His Way: He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The Lord rebukes the devil on our behalf. The Ways of God are paths of righteousness that do not parallel with the paths of darkness. The Lord covers us with His wings of Holy Spirit in dry places. We are submerged in Him and the enemy cannot come near. His way is our inheritance in His Kingdom as we come to the Tree of Life each and every day saying: “here I am.”
He gives us bread. Our nature, character, ways, power, and authority is associated with His body that was broken so that we will be another “bread with feet” as His spirit dwells in us. The Bread is the Word that transforms us from glory to glory as we become more like Jesus. It is the manna from Heaven that sustains us bringing joy unspeakable and full of glory. It was Melchizedek who gave Abraham bread as a response to His faith. This was the spill-over of God’s gifts (tithe) of blessing and fullness of new life that ever satisfies. The bread of life gives to the nations what is needed just as He gives to us our “daily bread” of wisdom and knowledge in Him as we abide in Him and He abides in us.
He gives us clothing. Our clothing is the Holy Spirit in us and upon us. We are “endued” with the Spirit of God with the Pentecost Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Our clothing comes from the inside out and from the outside in terms of the movement of God’s Spirit. “God speaks life happens,” means that our clothing of the Spirit is eternal in nature because it is the clothing of heaven coming to earth in nature to see the Life of the Tree come into our lives. Our clothing of course is becoming the light of the nature, character, way, power, and authority of Christ within us. We are baptized as His Spirit comes upon us to walk in signs, wonder, and mighty deeds as the Spirit moves within and “with” through us.
